SB 160 amends O.C.G.A. Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 3, relating to prohibited acts regarding alcoholic beverages, by revising subsections (d) and (e) of Code Section 3-3-23.1, relating to procedure and penalties upon violation of Code Section 3-3-23. The bill seeks to make minor in possession of alcohol offenses (MIPs) punishable by citation only, and not arrest. This is to prevent minors who are caught in possession of alcohol, but who are not violating any other law, from being arrested, fingerprinted and having a criminal record.
HB 103 was added to SB 160. It prohibits intentionally causing a minor to be identified as the individual in an obscene depiction in such a manner that a reasonable person would conclude that the image depicted was the minor. Any person found in violation shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. |
