Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SB 235 seeks to amend Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the O.C.G.A. relating to elections and primaries generally.

It exempts questions for the purpose of raising revenue from special elections to present a question to the voters from the standard dates of special elections. Elections for such shall be held only on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each year, provided that such date is at least 29 days after the date of the call for such a special election.
