SB 254 revises O.C.G.A. § 16-13-2, relating to controlled substances, and allows for any person charged with possession of marijuana to be guilty of a misdemeanor. SB 254 changes regulations of possessing marijuana, so as to remove the rule regarding the possession of ounce or less of marijuana and applies to any possession of marijuana, regardless of weight.
