Staff Analysis of the Legislation
HB 730 amends O.C.G.A. ยง 35-8-3, by providing an increase to the number of voting members of the Georgia Peace Officers and Training Council. The number of voting members is increased from 20 to 22 members. HB 730 allows for the commissioner of juvenile justice or his or her designee and the commissioner of natural resources or his or her designee to serve as ex officio members of the council.
