      HB 764 amends O.C.G.A. Title 40, relating to motor vehicles and crosswalks.

      HB 764 defines rectangular rapid flash beacon and requires that every driver shall stop and allow a pedestrian or bicycle rider to cross when an approved rectangular rapid flash beacon or similar device has been activated. The pedestrian or bicycle rider may not activate the rectangular flash beacon or similar device unless he or she intends to cross the street.
