Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB 792 amends and adds a new paragraph to Part 3 of Article 4 of Chapter 11 of Title 16 of the O.C.G.A., relating to carrying and possession of firearms. The new paragraph delineates that any person 18 years of age or older as well as any student enrolled in classes on the campus in question can only employ the use of an electroshock weapon in defense of self or others. The bill further specifies the definition of the term "electroshock weapon."
