Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB 908 allows for all all-terrain vehicles, class-I all-terrain vehicles, class-II all-terrain vehicles, and class-III all-terrain vehicles to be operated on the roads, streets, and highways of the state, and be given full use of a lane, while subject to the uniform rules of the road. O.C.G.A. § 40-6-369.12 is created and allows for any county, municipality, or consolidated government to prohibit the use of the all-terrain vehicles aforementioned, within their respective jurisdictions. Any person who violates the local ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
