HB 1041 seeks to amend Article 3 of Chapter 14 of Title 24 of the O.C.G.A, relating to particular matters of proof, so as to provide authority for the use of other mortality tables. Revisions will be made to: Code Section 12-14-44 in order to allow the court to consider both the American Experience Morality Table as well as any other table determined by such court to be accurate to determine life expectancy of a person; and Code Section 24-14-45, in order to determine such evidence not as exclusive but as supplementary to other lawful and allowable evidence and methods, which include but are not limited to the life tables for the United States Social Security Administration.
