Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SB 35 amends Code Section 16-5-70 of the O.C.G.A. so that a person is guilty of cruelty to children in the third degree if a person leaves a child six years of age or younger unattended, or supervised by someone who is younger than 13 years old, in a motor vehicle under circumstances that pose a substantial risk of harm to such child's health or safety.
