Staff Analysis of the Legislation
SB 33 amends O.C.G.A. Title 21 and Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 50, relating to elections, and general primaries, respectively. SB 33 revises O.C.G.A. § 21-2-150 stipulating that whenever the primary occur during the same week of the national convention of either party, the general primary shall be conducted on the second Tuesday in July of each year.
