Staff Analysis of the Legislation
HB 102 provides that the judge of the Probate Court of Schley County  also serve as the judge of the Magistrate Court of Schley County  beginning January 1, 2017. The bill establishes that no more elections  be held for the office of Magistrate Court judge of Schley County  starting in 2016. The term of office for magistrate and probate court  judge shall be concurrent.   The judge of the Magistrate Court of Schley County who was serving on  January 1, 2015, shall continue to serve until the office expires on  December 31, 2016.
