HB 186 revises O.C.G.A. § 16-11-127.1 by allowing anyone authorized to carry a firearm, pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 16-11-129 or § 43-38-10, to carry such firearm in or on any real property owned by the school. Such sections are also amended to allow an authorized owner to keep a firearm in their vehicle while such vehicle is on school property. HB 186 also revises the definition for ‘weapon’ found in O.C.G.A. § 16-11-173.
