Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB 32 amends §16-6-5.1 by revising the definition of when a person who has supervisory authority over another individual has committed sexual assault. In a school, any employee or agent, instead of just teachers or administrators, can be found guilty of sexual assault provided they are not a student enrolled in the school.
