SB 36 amends Chapter 2 of Tile 21 of the OCGA by adding that anyone wishing to register as an elector may do so by automatic registration pursuant to code Section 21-2-222.1. Voter registration agencies who record and store digital copies of signatures, collect age and residence data, and process citizenship documentations shall be qualified voter registration agencies. This information will be collected and provided to the Secretary of State, who will then notify and register such person to vote, if the person qualifies. Such a person shall not be sent an absentee ballot or allowed to cast an absentee ballot until 14 days after the Secretary of State gives notice to the person.
