SB 168 amends Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 49 of the O.C.G.A. to allow a licensed adoption agency placing a child for adoption access to child abuse records by the department or a county or other state or local agency. The bill also extends the same access to local and state law enforcement agencies as well as any any federal, federally recognized tribal, state, or local governmental entity which is investigating or responding to a report of child abuse.
