Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB 355 amends the local salaries of some of the members of the Cobb County Court. The Cobb County chief deputy, who has the same qualification requirements as the sheriff, will now make $138,839.13 annually. He or she can appoint additional deputy positions, not to be paid less than $4,880 per annum. The assistant chief deputy, who is appointed by the sheriff, will make $125,976.83 annually. The executive assistant, who is also appointed by the sheriff, will make $75,692.46.
