HB 362 amends Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the OCGA by updating
general municipal election provisions. It states that after January 1, 2018 the
term of office for a member of a municipal governing authority, county
governing authority, or consolidated government will begin on the Monday after
their election, which should be five days after the certification of results. This does not include cases where there is a
petition. |
