SB 192 amends Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the OCGA. In section 1 district attorney is added into the list of offices whose candidates must have their name placed on the nonpartisan election ballot no earlier than 9:00AM on the Monday of the eleventh week prior to the election and no later than 12:00PM on the Friday following that Monday. In addition, subsection 2 clarifies that each candidate for nonpartisan office, rather than a judicial office, must also adhere to this time frame. Section 2 allows local acts to fill offices of district attorney, sheriff, coroner, tax commissioner, clerk of superior court, and the board of education.
