HB 484 amends Chapter 5 of Title 40 of the OCGA by
exchanging “legal authorization from the US Immigration and Nationalization
Service” to “having lawful status to be present in the United States.” In
addition, a driving safety card is now permissible in place of a driver’s
license to be driving on a highway. Those who are recipients of a grant or
deferred action on deportation must have a driving safety card and are subject
to the same carrying, exhibition, reporting, and motor vehicle insurance
requirements. |
