Staff Analysis of the Legislation
HB 496 amends Code Section 48-5-28 of the OCGA by changing the referenced Code Section where exceptions to taxes to be paid before any other debt, lien, or claim to Code Section 53-7-40. In addition, Section 3 changes the assignment of the Governor's Office for Children and Families to the Department of Public Health.
