Staff Analysis of the Legislation
HB 578 amends an act to abolish the fee system now existing in the Superior Court of the Atlanta Judicial Circuit by giving the district attorney of the Atlanta Judicial Circuit oversight of the office budget, and allowing them to make line item appropriations after operating expenses have been appropriated. Remaining funds at the end of the fiscal year become part of the Fulton County general fund.
