HB 605 amends Code Section 9-3-33.1 and Chapter 15 of Title 17 of the O.C.G.A., relating to actions for childhood sexual abuse and victim compensation, respectively. The bill extends the statute of limitations for victims of childhood sexual abuse to allow plaintiffs who were barred from filing a civil action due to the expiration of the statute of limitations in effect on June 30, 2018, to file such actions before the date he/she attains the age of 31 against a person who had a responsibility for the care of the plaintiff.
