HB 674 amends §21-50, §3-3-23, and §36-33-1 of the O.C.G.A., providing
that the defense of sovereign immunity be waived for any claim, counterclaim,
cross-claim, or third-party claim brought to the courts of Georgia by an
aggrieved person seeking a declaratory judgment or injunctive relief against
the state or any political subdivision thereof in violation of the Georgia
Constitution, a state law, or a local ordinance, provided that sovereign
immunity is not waived in certain circumstances. |
