HB 720 amends Chapter 5 of Title 34 of the OCGA.  The bill adjusts gender terms by adding "his or her" and making it unlawful for any person to discharge or discriminate against any employee for inquiring, discussing, or disclosing their wage rate or that of any employee.  In addition, it is unlawful for any employer, as a condition of employment, to require the execution of a contract that prohibits or restricts discussion or disclosure of wage rate or salary information.  The punishment for a violation of this Code is raised to $1,000.00.
