HB 802 amends Article 1 of Chapter 10 of Title 17 and Article 2 of Chapter 9 of Title 42 of the O.C.G.A. The bill would eliminate the imposition of the death penalty and life without parole for a defendant who is less than 18 years of age. It would also provide for retroactive parole consideration of inmates serving prison sentences for a crime committed when they were less than 18 years of age.
