HB 73 amends Code Section 45-11-8 of the O.C.G.A to expand the restrictions on individuals involved in the bail bond business from holding public office. The list of individuals excluded from participating in both fields would be extended from a list of enumerated political actors. The new directive would be a universal prohibition that individuals could be government officials and also be engaged directly or indirectly in the bail bond market. |
