Staff Analysis of the Legislation
HB 75 amends Code Section 40-6-163 of the O.C.G.A to amend regulations pertaining school bus safety. Drivers under this legislation would be required by law to stop for a school bus on the other half of a divided highway. This would include highways divided by a turning lane.
