HB 82 amends Code Section 15-1-17 of the O.C.G.A to removes the legal need for consent of the prosecutor to assign individuals in pretrial sentencing to assigned courts. This change would defer the decision-making burden to the respective judge or justice overseeing the legal proceedings.
