HB 118 moves to amend Title 16 of the O.C.G.A to replace the crime of "transmitting a false public alarm" with "making an unlawful request for emergency service assistance." The bill would prohibit the request for emergency services assistance when conducted by a person with false or unlawful intentions. If bodily harm or death results from the response of a public safety agency, such person who requested the emergency services shall be guilty of a felony. |
