HB 165 moves to amend Code Section 16-11-129 and Code Section 35-3-33 of the O.C.G.A to revise the investigative and fingerprint based criminal history check requirements of persons submitting weapons carry license and renewal license applications. It would also remove an exemption and allow the GBI and FBI to retain the fingerprints submitted for such applications.
