HB 246 amends Code Sections 24-13-132 and 24-13-133 of the O.C.G.A to change the manner that depositions are paid for in the case of financial inability of the accused to pay for legal proceedings. The bill would shift the burden of financial obligation from the Prosecuting Attorney’s Council to the county. This would legally align with other current criminal proceedings.
