HB 282 moves to amend Title 17 of the O.C.G.A to increase the amount of time that law enforcement agencies are required to preserve certain evidence of sexual assaults for 30 years from the date of the arrest, or seven years from the completion of sentence, whichever occurs last. If there were no arrests such evidence shall be preserved for 50 years.
