HB 342 moves to amend Code Section(s) 40-2-8, and 40-8-7 of the O.C.G.A to change the nature of traffic citations by allowing law enforcement officers discretion when issuing citations during traffic violations. This would include issuing citations to the owner of the vehicle if that individual is present at the time of the aforementioned citation.
