HB 530 moves to amend Title 20 of the O.C.G.A to require the Department of Education to provide copies of declarations of intent to utilize a home study program to the local school systems where the home study program is located. Moreover, it requires public schools to contact DFCS if a child is withdrawn from school without a declaration of intent and if the child stops attending for a period of 45 days.
