SB 301 amends Article 1 of Chapter 6 of Title 42 of the OCGA for it to be an option rather than a requirement that the Department of Corrections offer temporary custody of an inmate with subsequent felony charges under sentence or in custody to the sheriff of the county with the pending indictment.
