Staff Analysis of the Legislation
SB 394 amends Title 16 to authorize the Attorney General to employ peace officers for the purposes of investigating cases involving human trafficking and to authorize such peace officers to exercise all powers of a peace officer. Title 45 is amended to allow the Attorney General to employ peace officers for the purposes of issuing subpoenas.
