Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SB 414 amends Article 6 of Chapter 3 of Title 21 of the OCGA to specify 73 different felony offenses that would fall under the term ‘felony involving moral turpitude’. The felony offenses in this definition include murder, kidnapping, cruelty to children, aggravated stalking, etc. Any person convicted of a ‘felony involving moral turpitude’ is ineligible to vote or register to vote.
