HB 1116 amends Code Section 33-7-11 of the OCGA to revise the penalties for insurers that negligently or in bad faith refuse to pay for uninsured motorist coverage under motor vehicle liability policies to 25 percent of the recovery or $25,000.00, whichever is greater.
