Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB 1121 amends Title 51 of the OCGA to provide a right of action for sexual harassment in the workplace in state court. All actions in pursuant to this chapter’s provisions shall commenced within a year of the incident’s date or within 180 days from exhaustion of all employer-provided procedures. Relief can include compensation for lost wages, benefits, attorney fees, court costs, etc.
