Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB99 amends Title 30 of the OCGA to establish the conditions in which customers with “eligible medical conditions” are allowed access to retail employee restrooms. Retail establishments that sell prescription drugs or maintain HIPPA records are, however, exempt. The bill additionally provides for liability immunity conditions for retail establishments. All violations of the act are guilty of a misdemeanor. |
