Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB 101 amends Code Section 21-2-216 of the OCGA to restrict all judicially incompetent individuals from registering, remaining registered, or voting unless the disability has been removed.  This Act only takes effect if at the November 2022 general election, an amendment to the Constitution of Georgia is ratified which removes felonies involving moral turpitude as an exception to the right to register and vote.
