Staff Analysis of the Legislation
HB 247 amends Code Section 16-11-126 and Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 38 of the OCGA to allow the Attorney General to enter into reciprocal weapons carry license agreements with other states. The bill additionally lists certain prohibitions on state actors in seizing or regulating weapon related activity while in a state of emergency, and lists civil remedies for violations and damages under this Code.
