Staff Analysis of the Legislation
SB 67 amends Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the OCGA to require the submission of identification information with absentee ballot applications and eliminate signature verification. The bill authorizes the Secretary of State create a web portal for absentee ballot requests of which electors can submit their identification information. SB 67 additionally clarifies language to recognize the procedural powers of registrars and absentee ballot clerks.
