Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SB 92 amends Part 1 of Article 2 of Chapter 13 of Title 16 of the OCGA to establish various regulations for the sale of finished drug products containing dextromethorphan. The bill makes it unlawful to sell or trade drug products containing dextromethorphan to a minor, and further makes it unlawful for a minor to purchase a product containing dextromethorphan. Violations of said Code will be guilty of a misdemeanor, but will be provided with a warning letter from local law enforcement for a first violation offense.
