HB 371 amends Article 1 of Chapter 13 of Title 24 of the OCGA to permit judges and justices to conduct hearings via telephone or video conference. However, video conference is not allowed for use in criminal trials where an accused’s guilt or innocence is to be determined unless authorized by law or court rule.
