Staff Analysis of the Legislation

HB 470 amends Chapter 3 of Title 44 of the OCGA to exempt condominium units where the boundaries of the unit are not designated by walls, floors, ceilings, or other physical structures, from the requirement of submitting plans for each individual unit provided that the boundaries of the unit are depicted on a plat of survey. However, this provision does not apply to units that are individual homes intended for single-family occupancy, and subcondominiums are also exempted from the requirement of providing a separate plat of survey for each unit.
