Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This bill changes the minimum composite test scores a student under 18 years old must achieve for admission to an Arizona community college as follows:

  • From 930 to 720, for the PSAT;
  • From 930 to 720 for the SAT; and
  • From 22 to 12, for the ACT.

Replaces the option of a district-designated college placement test for a student under 18 to meet Arizona community college admission requirement with the option of a district-desginated college placement method.

Contains emergency clause, that allows for the bill to become effective on signature of the Governor.
