SB1340- ABOR; university scholarships;
report This bill
requires ABOR to submit a report by December 15, 2019 on the history of the
scholarships awarded at each university from calendar year 1980 through the
effective date to the Governor, the President of the Senate and the Speaker of
the House. Excludes
private scholarships and grants from the report. Requires the
report to include: 1. A summary of the number and the dollar
amount of scholarships that have been awarded in Arizona; 2. A summary of the past and current
scholarship eligibility requirements; and 3. Data on the number of past and current
students that have qualified and received the scholarships. Instructs
ABOR to make a presentation on this information to the Senate Higher Education
and Workforce Development Committee, during the 54th Legislature, 2nd
Regular Session. Repeals the
report requirements on July 1, 2020. |
