SB 364, Ligon – 3

Bans use of standards based grading in grades 4-12, which is giving a Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory grade. Schools would be required to give either an A-F or a numeric grade.  SBOE cannot waive this prohibition.  Effective in the 2012-2013 school year.  The sponsor is irritated that some kids do not get higher grades for mastering the academic curriculum early.
