SUMMARY:  Adds language to the current law related to school buses stopped to pick up students:

"A school bus driver shall activate the school bus's amber flasher lights not less than 200 feet from both sides of a designated school bus stop when the driver of the school bus is anticipating stopping for the purpose of allowing a school child to board the bus or is moving away from a designated school bus stop. The driver of a vehicle meeting or overtaking from either direction any school bus when its amber flasher lights are in operation shall not proceed until the school bus resumes motion and the amber lights are no longer activated or flashing

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2013 if approved by the General Assembly and Governor.
